Instant Recovery. Less Downtime. Smarter Backup Infrastructure

We’re rolling out a new set of backup and disaster recovery capabilities designed to help MSPs and IT teams recover faster, reduce storage overhead, and simplify recovery operations across modern virtual environments.

From browser-based file restores to instant VM recovery for VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox, these upcoming features are built to make recovery less disruptive and day-to-day backup management a lot more practical.

Key Features

Image-Based Backup Direct Restore to VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox

Restore image-based backups directly into supported virtual environments without manual VM creation. The platform automatically deploys and restores the virtual machine to accelerate recovery operations.

Instant Restore (DR) to VM

Instant Restore allows virtual machines to boot directly from backup storage while data is restored in the background. This dramatically reduces downtime and keeps critical workloads operational within minutes during an outage. Supported for image-based backup. Restore to VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox VMs.

Proxmox VM and LXC Backup Support

MSP360 Backup now supports both Proxmox VE virtual machines and LXC containers. This expands protection for modern Proxmox environments and mixed virtualization infrastructures.

Hybrid Backup

Hybrid Backup combines fast local recovery with automatic offsite replication for stronger disaster recovery protection. Backups can be replicated to one or multiple secondary destinations without affecting local restore speed.

Synthetic Backup for Local Destinations

Synthetic Backup support for local disks and network shares enables efficient Forever Forward Incremental backup chains. This helps reduce storage consumption, improve retention efficiency, and lower infrastructure costs.

Item-Level Restore via Web Browser

Restore files and folders directly from the web interface without performing a full system recovery. Downloads are protected with AES encryption and can be decrypted automatically in supported browsers.
